Learning Pod Groundworks - Dursley

R12 Groundworks & Construction completed the full groundworks package for a new learning pod development in Dursley, Gloucestershire. The project began with the excavation and preparation of the site before the installation of a well-compacted Type 1 sub-base to create a stable foundation.

Following this, sand blinding and formwork were installed to achieve the required levels and prepare the area for reinforcement. Rebar steel reinforcement and a damp proof membrane were then carefully positioned to ensure long-term strength, durability and protection against moisture ingress.

The project was completed with the installation of a high-quality concrete oversite slab, providing a solid and level base ready for the construction of the new learning pod. Throughout, R12 ensured all stages were completed to specification, delivering a reliable foundation solution ready for the next phase of the build.

Access Ramp & Paving Works - Temple Meads

R12 Groundworks & Construction were appointed to deliver the groundworks and paving package for a new access ramp at Bristol City Council’s offices near Temple Meads, Bristol. The project was designed to improve accessibility, creating a safe and practical route for visitors and staff.

The works began with excavation and site preparation, including the installation of new pad foundations. Concrete foundation works were then completed, followed by the construction of a beam and block system to provide a stable base for the access route.

Once the structural elements were in place, the team carried out the paving works, installing the finished surface to create a high-quality access ramp. Throughout the project, attention was paid to both functionality and finish, ensuring the completed works blended seamlessly with the surrounding environment.
